Did you know that the typical puppy litter ranges from 6 to 8 pups? Bess, however, defied the norm with a whopping 12 puppies on the way. Birthing an average-sized litter is demanding enough, so Bess faced an even tougher ordeal with her impending delivery.

Well, it was because Burrdie, one of her puppies, obstructed the birth canal for an extended duration. Vyolet distinctly recalled the moment when the physicians conveyed the news, cautioning that there was a possibility not all the puppies would survive.
Upon the arrival of all the puppies, the veterinary staff realized they were facing a far greater task than they had anticipated, prompting them to seek external assistance. Fortunately, they had a dedicated team of volunteers at their beck and call, ready to lend a hand. These compassionate volunteers worked tirelessly in shifts for weeks, offering support to Bess.
With everyone pitching in around the clock, Bess and her pups received the necessary care. Under careful monitoring, they grew stronger and healthier with each passing day.
